The release
The page was released in 2011 in response to a regional public records request seeking pediatric mental health intake records from January and February 1996. The page is the only one of approximately one hundred eighty pages in the release that contains any reference to the events. The associated patient file was not included in the release and has not been made available since.
What the entry says
The intake note, in the pediatrician's handwriting, records that the patient described, without prompting, a small bipedal figure with red eyes that she had seen near her schoolyard fence on her walk home from school. The patient stated that the figure did not move when she stopped to look at it and that she had not told her parents because she did not want them to think she was lying.
The margin note, in the same handwriting, reads: "matches 3 other accounts this week." There is no further annotation.
What we are still trying to find
The other three accounts the pediatrician references are not included in the release. The pediatrician retired in 2003 and has not responded to requests for clarification. The school is identifiable from the patient's address but the school's records from the period are no longer held.
